Who we are
A Fresno-born elder justice organization.
EASI began from conversations among professors, students, and community volunteers who saw a critical gap in services for elder abuse victims in Fresno and Madera Counties.
That early vision became STAR — Seniors Transitioning to Assistance and Restoration — and has grown into a broader mission of education, advocacy, sheltering options, restorative practice, and coordinated community response.

EASI’s original vision was to create safe, elder-appropriate emergency housing for victims of abuse. That vision remains alive through community-based sheltering, facility partnerships, restorative options, and long-term planning for a permanent Senior Safe House.
